The hospital is situated in Kuils River in the Western Cape province.  The tranquil town of Kuils River lies at the foot of the Bottelary Mountains and about 25km East of Cape Town.

Kuils River started as cattle fold in the 1600s and was a staging post en route to Stellenbosch.  The town attracts visitors who want to escape the city and experience a more rural experience.

The town is the gateway to the wine routes and visitors can visit various wine estates in the area, which includes Dormershire Wine Estate and Zevenwacht Wine Estate and the old church buildings found in the town.  Kuils River offers a selection of accommodation with plenty of B&B’s and guesthouses in the area.

Kuils Rivier borders Brackenfell, Blue Downs and Delft.  The Cape Town International Airport is just 23km from Kuils River and Stellenbosch 18.5km to the East along the M12.  The hospital is easily accessible via the R102 to the South and West of the hospital and the R300 to the North and West of the hospital.

The hospital has 189 beds and is equipped with world-class equipment and facilities.  Highly trained staff and specialists care for critically ill and injured patients at the state-of-the-art intensive care unit.  Mothers and babies receive quality healthcare services at the maternity ward supported by the mother and baby wellness clinic.

Babies in need of intensive care are monitored 24/7 at the neonatal unit equipped with high-tech support and monitoring equipment.  Critically ill and injured children receive intensive care at the paediatric intensive care unit.
