The hospital is located in Krugersdrop.  Krugersdorp (also known as Mogale City) is a mining town on the West Rand of Gauteng.  The town is known for various tourist attractions in the area which includes the Sterkfontein Caves, Cradle of Humankind and Rhino and Lion Nature Reserve.

Krugersdorp is close to major cities, including Johannesburg 30km to the South-East and Pretoria about 75km to the North-East of the town.  The hospital is easily accessible via the N14 to the North and West, the R28 to the South and the M47 to the East of the hospital.  A 24-hour accident and emergency unit with a helicopter landing pad and decontamination room serves the community and surrounding areas 24/7.

Beds and Wards

The hospital has 100 beds and offers multiple medical services to patients during their hospital stay.  The 5 bed neonatal intensive care unit care for babies in need of specialised and high care with well-trained staff and professionals.  The maternity unit is supported by a Netcare Stork’s Nest mother and baby wellness clinic which supports mothers before and after the birth.

The 10 bed paediatric ward offers quality medical services and care to children.  State-of-the-art technology and equipment are incorporated in all the facilities of the hospital.  The 15 bed intensive care and high care unit offers around the clock high care to critically injured and ill patients.

The orthopaedics unit specialises in shoulder, hip and knee surgery which also includes limb shortening and lengthening procedures performed by highly qualified professionals.
