15 Thoughts on “Olivedale Hospital (Netcare) in Randburg, Johannesburg, Gauteng”

  • I am with polmed higher plan and waiting for authorisation from polmed for operation. Polmed said the doctor is not on their list and i must pay a R8000 fine for this. i would be in hospital for -+ 14 days- 4 days in icu. Could you please help or discount because the doctor only wants to do the operation only by your hospital.

    • Hi Bonthyzen. You will have to speak to the hospital directly. We are not connected with any health facility or hospital group. This website is owned by a media group that creates awareness about private healthcare in South Africa.

  • Hello. I would like to know how much would a stay at a private hospital for two weeks cost me on average if I’m not on medical aid, thanks.

  • To the Doctors and Nursing staff of the emergency room at Olivedale Clinic, the [NAME REMOVED] family have been to your department three times in the last week and the care and empathy was comforting. Also felt protected against the dreaded coved virus. Thanks and keep up the good work.

  • I recently fell on my coccyx and have pins and needles in both my legs. My gp has recommended an mri. My med aid (affinity)does not cover mri’s. Do you give a discount for cash?

    • Good day Ilidio. Please contact the hospital’s radiology department directly. Take note that Affinity Health is NOT a medical aid. It is a medical insurance. Completely different type of cover from a medical aid.

I would like to find out more information about booking a bed in the maternity.
I would also like to find out details of a gynaecologist that is available at the Olivedale Netcare.

  • I have a relative who has been admitted via assisted flight from another country. Are you allowing visitors during your normal visiting hours and Covid protocols?

  • I booked flights to SA from the UK a week ago.

My father has been diagnosed with Covid today (26 April) and has since been admitted to Olivedale Hospital.

I have three vaccination certificates (including the booster). Will I be able to visit my father in hospital if I wear a medical mask?

  • My daughter was admitted at hospital in June 2007 with heart failure was 9 years at that time. I wish to thank all the nurses who take care if her. May the Lord Bless them and make strong to take care of other. I was difficult the were always the to encourage and comfort me. Good Luck
