The hospital is situated in the town of Alberton, Gauteng.  The town lies on the Southern part of the East Rand and is known as a typical bedroom community because it is primarily a residential community.

The town is situated on the banks of the Natal Spruit and closely located to major centres like Johannesburg (16km), Pretoria (70km) and the OR Tambo International Airport (23km).  Alberton borders Johannesburg South, Boksburg, Brakpan and Germiston.

The hospital is situated in the suburb of Mulbarton in Alberton.  Mulbarton is a relatively new suburb in the Western part of Alberton and borders Glenvista, Bassonia, Meyersdal and the Klipriviersberg Nature Reserve.  The hospital is easily accessible via the R554 to the South and the N12 to the North of the hospital.  The 24-hour accident and emergency unit provides medical services to the community around the clock.

Beds and Wards

The hospital has 216 beds and multi-disciplinary facilities with state-of-the-art technology.  The intensive care unit and high care ward are supported by highly skilled and experience specialists to care for critically ill and injured patients.

Mothers and babies receive highly professional care and services in the tranquil environment of the maternity ward.  The neonatal intensive care unit and high care ward are equipped with high-tech support and monitoring equipment to care and monitor newborns in need of intensive care.

The hospital also runs a free Senior Citizen’s Clinic in the accident and emergency unit every Tuesday morning.  The clinic offers senior citizens free basic health services such as blood pressure, blood sugar and urine tests.
