The hospital is situated in Benoni on the East Rand of Gauteng. The East Rand forms part of the Greater Johannesburg region. The town of Benoni was established as a result of gold mining, but today the town is more focused on industry and services.
Benoni is a diverse town with plenty of horse stables and lakes in the area. Benoni is nicknamed “the City of Lakes”. The town lies about 40km East of Johannesburg and is surrounded by the towns of Springs, Brakpan, Boksburg and Kempton Park, which is all within a 20km radius from Benoni.
The hospital is located in the suburb of Rynfield in Benoni. Rynfield borders the suburbs of Northmead, Northvilla and Rynpark. The hospital is easily accessible via the M44 to the East, the M45 to the West and the N12 to the North of the hospital.

Beds and Wards
The hospital has 172 beds and is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and medical equipment. The modern 18-bed maternity unit is furnished with private and semi-private rooms and facilities. The Netcare Stork’s Nest mother and baby wellness clinic offers a wide range of post-labour services to new mothers such as advice and support on breastfeeding, immunisations, parent support and counselling.
The 20-bed paediatric ward with highly skilled staff cares for injured and ill children. Newborn babies in need of intensive medical care are monitored and cared for at the neonatal ICU unit which is equipped with high-tech support and monitoring equipment.
