The hospital is located in Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape. Port Elizabeth is known as the friendly city and situated on the Algoa Bay in the Eastern Cape. The city is also known for its numerous beaches and lies about 770km East of Cape Town.
The hospital is easily assessable via the R102 which is just off the N2 highway. A 24-hour trauma and emergency unit with a dedicated helicopter landing pad serves the community 24/7.
Beds and Wards
The hospital has 302 beds and 15 theatres. Critical ill and injured patients are care for in the 8 bed high care and 15 bed intensive care units. The hospital’s cardio thoracic intensive care unit has 8 beds and the coronary care unit has a 11 bed ward.
Mothers and babies are well cared for at the 30 bed maternity unit which has well-equipped wards and facilities. The unit is also supported by the Little Life Clinic and 14 bed neonatal intensive care unit which are equipped with state-of-the-art life support and monitoring equipment.
A 19 bed access controlled paediatric unit offers children and their parents high quality services and care. The Women’s Wellness and Fertility centre provides highly specialised medical services and assistance to patients longing to mothers.

My brother..Thobile as admitted in your hospital on 01 July 2020 first in the Oncology Ward then to Medical Ward and when his condition changed for the worse was finally moved to High Care on 16 July where he finally passed away on the evening of 18 July 2020.
It has been a battle to retrieve from the hospital his new Samsung J4 mobile phone, Charger and Power Bank.
